Secgroup is a security team at the Computer Science Department in Venice University. We meet weekly to discuss and experiment practical issues in security.

We basically are a group of people very interested in whatever floats around IT and security. This passion drove us towards diverse subjects: Software (stack/heap overflow, race conditions, rng attacks, input validation), Network (dns spoofing, routing, sniffing, etc), Forensics and even Social engineering (spam, phishing, etc)

We love to get hands-on with our research: this helps us simulate security issues and check counter-measures effectiveness.

We do participate at cool international events like iCTF.

If you would like to get in touch with us for some work or research feel free to send your requests through the person of Riccardo Focardi -the team leader and official point of contact.
