Keystores lab: prerequisites

You need Docker and Chrome or Chromium.

Setup: open a terminal in a new working directory and run:

$ docker pull secunive/security1:keystores

$ mkdir -p lab-work

$ docker run --rm -it --name keystore-passkey-lab -p 127.0.0.1:8000:8000 -v "$PWD/lab-work:/lab/work" secunive/security1:keystores sh tools/lab_shell.sh

Explanation:

  • docker pull downloads the complete lab image from Docker Hub.
  • lab-work/ is a host folder for the editable Task 4 policy and bonus. The -v option exposes it as /lab/work in the container, so these files remain after exit.
  • docker run ... starts the service and opens a Bash shell inside the container at /lab. Keep this shell open and run the task commands there. This also starts a web app at  http://localhost:8000 for tasks 3 and 4. Type exit after the lab; the service stops and Docker removes the container automatically.

Start with Task 1.
